  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped

  2. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant (about 2 minutes).

  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce and maple syrup, then pour over chickpeas; let simmer for about 3 minutes.
  5. Cook while stirring until the sauce thickens (about 5 more minutes).
