  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in a bit of oil until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
  5. For the glaze, mix additional ketchup with Worcestershire sauce and spread over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
