Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken broth and soy sauce to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for about five minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and onion powder; simmer until slightly thickened, around five more minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, coating it in the gravy for another minute.
  6. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice.
