  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  4. Place half of the heart cutouts on a lined baking sheet and add small pieces of dark chocolate in the center.
  5. Top with remaining heart cutouts, sealing edges by pressing down.
  6. Mix egg and water for the egg wash; brush over each heart.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
