  • 2 cups cremini or portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them along with the onion.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions until golden brown (about 5 minutes).
  3. Add sliced mushrooms, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Sauté until tender (7–10 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in lime juice.
  5. Warm tortillas in another skillet until pliable.
  6. Assemble tacos by spooning the mushroom mixture onto tortillas and topping with cilantro if desired.
