  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 14 oz canned diced tomatoes (with juices)
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté the onion, celery, and carrots until softened (about 5 minutes). Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the canned tomatoes with their juices and chicken broth; bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Add Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in the lump crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much.
