  • 1 can (28 oz) whole peeled tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant for about one minute.
  3. Stir in the canned tomatoes (crushing them gently), capers, and olives. Simmer for about ten minutes.
