  • 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro or mint leaves
  • Oil for frying (about 2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup tamarind chutney

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fish by cutting it into bite-sized pieces and marinating with salt and spices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, rice flour, turmeric, cumin, coriander, red chili powder, and salt. Gradually add water to create a thick batter consistency.
