  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink (about 3 minutes per side). Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining butter, heavy cream, and lemon juice. Stir and let simmer for two minutes.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet along with cooked pasta. Toss everything together, then add Parmesan cheese and parsley; mix well.
  6. Serve immediately with extra lemon juice on top if desired.
