  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and sugar until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Gently combine the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just blended. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool in the pan for ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
