Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz thinly sliced deli ham
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Pound chicken breasts between plastic wrap until about half an inch thick.
  3. Layer ham and Swiss cheese on each chicken breast, then roll tightly and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  4. Set up a breading station: one plate with flour, another with beaten eggs, and a third with panko breadcrumbs. Dredge each roll in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place rolls in the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Add garlic powder and mustard; simmer until thickened.
  7. Serve baked chicken drizzled with sauce.
