Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2¼ tsp)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Activate your yeast: In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Make the dough: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix in melted butter and the yeast mixture until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Let it rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans in a separate bowl.
  5. Roll it up: Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter on top, sprinkle filling evenly, roll tightly from one end to another, and cut into equal pieces.
  6. Bake: Place rolls in greased baking dish to rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
